Speech Title:

Evolution of Maintenance Processes in Industry 4.0

Abstract:

The fourth industrial revolution, sometimes known as industry 4.0, has fundamentally altered how firms run. Maintenance processes are one of the areas affected by this transformation. The industry 4.0 environment has made traditional maintenance techniques insufficient, thus organizations are now seeking for more effective and efficient ways to maintain their machinery, equipment, and assets. The development of maintenance processes in industry 4.0 is thoroughly discussed in this study. This paper begins with an introduction to industry 4.0, giving a quick rundown of the idea and the reasons why conventional maintenance procedures are no longer useful or practical. The examination of the literature explores the benefits and difficulties of industry 4.0, as well as how it affects maintenance procedures, and it also clarifies the relationship between industry 4.0 and maintenance procedures. The paper also offers a thorough examination of the three generations that make up the history of maintenance procedures. The report also investigates the function of predictive maintenance in industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 maintenance procedures now include predictive maintenance as a crucial step since it gives companies instantaneous information about the condition of their machines and equipment. The examination of maintenance procedures in industry 4.0 and their potential for future development serves as the paper's conclusion. Overall, this presentation offers a thorough analysis of how maintenance procedures have changed in the context of industry 4.0, emphasizing the necessity for companies to modify their maintenance tactics to remain successful in this new setting.
